They say the best things in life are free.  Well, sunsets are a perfect example.
However you can't always be in a place to be able to view the sunset every day.  Or maybe you're too busy. 
Some days are so cloudy that we don't really have a sunset. 
Other days, if we take the time to watch, we may see one of the greatest sights in the world.

In the Gallery we have a collection of sunset pictures that will be growing all the time.  You can also look at Sunsets by Date where we have taken a number of pictures on the same evening.  We're also working to get some live sunset cams going as soon as possible.  In the mean time, we'll share as many good sunset pictures as possible. 

We would like to share YOUR sunset pictures.  Until we have a good system set up where you can post them yourself, please email them to Pictures@SunsetWatchers.com and we'll get them posted in the gallery with your name and town. 

There is definitely a scientific explanation for the sight you see as the sun sets.  Our Science Page explains some of what you're seeing as our spinning planet rotates us out of view of the sun.  Maybe you've asked yourself, why is the sky blue.  The Science Page not only talks about why the sky is blue but also about why the sky is sometimes red.
